Intro
Most elearning platforms make learning experience feel overwhelming. Appslevel is built to make it clear, practical, and easy to stick with.
I joined in 2025 as the sole product designer, working directly with engineering to build the platform from the ground up. Everything from UX strategy and the design system to interactive prototypes running on real infrastructure data.
Every design decision centered on one goal: helping learners stay engaged, build confidence, and successfully complete their learning journey.
My Role
I owned the full product experience, from zero.
Product strategy and UX direction
User research synthesis
Information architecture
Design system
High-fidelity UI design
Interactive prototyping

Process
The project started with establishing a scalable design system that could support the platform as it grew. From there, I explored multiple concepts, iterating on layouts and interactions before refining them into complete user flows.
As development began, I worked closely with the DevOps through regular review sessions to align on implementation, resolve edge cases, and ensure the product matched the intended experience. Throughout the build, I continuously tested features, reviewed releases, and documented improvements to maintain consistency and usability across the platform.
Lesson
Designing an e-learning platform reinforced that a great learning experience is built through many small decisions, not just great visuals. I learned the importance of creating flexible systems early, validating ideas through iteration, and collaborating closely with engineers throughout implementation.
Regular design reviews and testing also showed that the best user experiences come from refining details continuously, not treating design as something that ends at handoff.
