Intro
Most elearning platforms make learning experience feel overwhelming. Appslevel is built to make it clear, practical, and easy to stick with.
I joined in 2025 as the sole product designer, working directly with engineering to build the platform from the ground up. Everything from the website to it's elearning platform, the design system to interactive prototypes to testing & usability.
Every design decision centered on one goal: helping learners stay engaged, build confidence, and successfully complete their learning journey.

Process
The project started with establishing a scalable design system, then explored and iterated on layouts, interactions, and user flows.
For the website, I used Framer to rapidly test visual directions before moving the frontend into Cursor for implementation and refinement. I worked closely with the engineering team through regular reviews, testing releases, resolving edge cases, and ensuring the final product stayed consistent with the intended experience.
Lesson
Designing an e-learning platform reinforced that a great learning experience is built through many small decisions, not just great visuals. I learned the importance of creating flexible systems early, validating ideas through iteration, and collaborating closely with engineers throughout implementation.
Regular design reviews and testing also showed that the best user experiences come from refining details continuously, not treating design as something that ends at handoff.
